Strategic Plan
The MTSD Strategic Plan focuses on four main goals. Goal One fosters curious and passionate learners through personalized, equitable, and collaborative learning. Goal Two prioritizes the health and well-being of all members, promoting a positive environment and an active lifestyle. Goal Three cultivates engaged citizens who are aware of themselves and their surroundings. Goal Four creates responsive operations to support continuous improvement in educational programs and learning spaces.
Goal One
To foster curious and passionate learners through opportunities that further their academic knowledge and skills and meet the challenges of a changing world. In service of this goal, educators and students will challenge themselves and others and collaboratively engage in developmentally appropriate personalized learning grounded in equity and supportive relationships. Educators will develop and be guided by continuous improvement plans (CIP) with goals and strategies, inclusive of professional development, to ensure continuous growth in student learning.
Goal Two
To prioritize the health and well-being of all members of the learning organization through programming that promotes care for the heart, mind, and body. In service of this goal, educators and students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure equitable access to a positive learning environment while pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle, including digital wellness.
Goal Three
To cultivate engaged citizens inspired to meet the demands of a changing society through an awareness of self, others and the world around them in the local and global context. In serving this goal, educators and students will learn and practice the dispositions and strategies that foster safe and affirming communities.
Goal Four
To create responsive, effective, and integrated operations that enable continuous improvement in educational programs and learning spaces that are adaptive to changing needs of students and educators.
What is a strategic plan?
The purpose of a school district strategic plan is to outline a clear and coherent roadmap for the district's future direction and goals. It serves as a comprehensive blueprint that guides decision-making and resource allocation to enhance educational outcomes for students, improve operational efficiency, and promote overall district growth and success.
