Education/Experience

I attended the University of Vermont and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. I have been an Registered Nurse since. During my first year out of college, I was a nurse at inpatient psychiatric hospital and than transferred to focus on Public Health. After spending time in public health for nearly 8 years, I realized that I wanted to focus that passion in a school setting. I joined MTSD in 2017 and haven't looked back.

Interests/Hobbies

I love being outdoors. Whether I'm going on a hike, sitting by a campfire, fishing on the shore, being outdoors is where I want to be.

A little about me.

I grew up all over the country. My dad was in the Military and I spent time in numerous different states. When I was in 9th grade, my parents moved back to their home state of Vermont and we found a home in Milton. I graduated Milton High School in 2005. After living around the country for most of my life, I knew Vermont was my home. I am married to Derek Demers, who is also a teacher in Milton. We have 3 great kids and two crazy dogs.
