About the Superintendent
The Superintendent, located at Central Office, oversees the efficient and effective operation of the entire school district. The Superintendent acts as the chief administrator and is responsible for the management and administration of all public schools in Milton. The Office of the Superintendent ensures the district remains in compliance with Board of Education policies, directives, as well as state and federal law.
As your new superintendent, I am honored to be a part of this vibrant school community and to extend my first welcome to all new and returning families to the 2019-20 MTSD school year. Our three schools, the pulse of this community, are ready! Many updates have been made to the facilities and the faculty and staff are excited to support and inspire every student to be the very best learner and person they can be.
I believe that a school district is an educational system built on rigor, relevance, relationships, and shared responsibility. Students are at the center and are empowered to take ownership of their learning and future while being supported by collaborative, united partnerships with all stakeholders.
I take very seriously that you have entrusted the young people of this community to our care. I am committed to maintaining and growing a student-centered learning environment that assures a sense of safety and belonging for everyone while supporting student success.
Our continuous improvement plan (CIP) guides our work and holds us accountable to this promise. This year, in support of our CIP and our commitment to inclusion, equity and student success, we will continue to invest in the following:
- High quality instructional practices
- Coordinated academic, social, emotional and behavioral supports for all students
- Culturally responsive practices
- Communication and engagement strategies
As the year begins, I look forward to getting to know our families. On behalf of MTSD, we look forward to a productive and rewarding school year of learning.
