Continuous Improvement Plan

The MTSD Recovery Plan for 2023-2024 has been drafted (following the guidelines of the Vermont Agency of Education) and we are seeking feedback. The three areas of the Recovery Plan are Academic Achievement, Social-Emotional/Mental Health Wellbeing, and Student and Family Engagement.

2023-2024 Continuous Improvement Plan

These three interconnected or “braided”  goals serve to equitably educate all learners in the areas of Social-Emotional Learning, Engagement, and Academics.

Student and Family Engagement

Student and Family Engagement - access to and use of culturally and linguistically responsive frameworks. We learn to use the frameworks and engage in conversations (and take action) in order to ensure equitable access to learning and create a sense of belonging for all.

Academic Proficiency

Academic Proficiency - use the UDL instructional principles and other evidence-based instructional strategies to ensure equitable access, enhance student discourse, and provide focused feedback toward clearly identified learning targets in specific content areas.

Social-Emotional Learning/Mental Health

Social-Emotional Learning/Mental Health - understand and use universal Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices using their content in order to build a community of learners in their classroom and continue professional learning in this area.
