Hello, my name is Trevor Wagar.

I am very excited to begin my second year teaching at Milton High School. I am originally from Guelph, Ontario and I came to Vermont to play lacrosse at UVM and pursue my bachelor's degree in Physical Education. I really enjoy living in the area and that is why I chose to stay here and work in Milton. This year I will be working on creating a new curriculum for the Physical Education Department and trying to find new ways to engage our students.

I grew up playing alot of sports and participating in many activities. I played hockey and lacrosse since I was 3 years old. I was able to play at the highest level all the way up through childhood. I played hockey at the Junior "C" level for 3 years and played lacrosse at the Junior "A" level for 5 years, as well as playing Major Series lacrosse in Ontario for the last 4 years and now for the new Senior "B" Vermont Voyageurs box lacrosse team. I was drafted to the National Lacrosse League (NLL) in the fall of 2008, but I have decided to pursue my career in teaching and coaching because I have a passion for doing so. I also enjoy playing golf accompanied with many other activities. I workout and run on a regular basis and I am looking to get more involved in some of the activities that Vermont offers and see places in the area I have not yet explored.

It is my belief that every student particpating in Physical Education class has the right to learn and play in a respectful and safe learning environment. I hope to involve many different aspects of teaching styles and include a diverse selection of exciting activities, sports and games that the students can learn and hopefully continue to do after they leave high school. Establishing a great foundation of Physical Education is the most important thing for the students to learn so that they can live a long healthy active lifestyle.
