I grew up in Waterbury, Vermont and graduated from Harwood High School in 1986. I then graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in history. After graduating, I completed the Master’s Program at Johnson State College for teaching and received my certification to teach 7-12 social studies. My first job was at Northfield High School and I enjoyed teaching ninth and eleventh grade students for eight years. I started my administrative career as an assistant principal at Milton High School and after four years became a Co-Instructional Leader at Milton Middle and High School. This is my tenth year in administration at Milton. I have always appreciated taking on leadership roles from being the first high school student board representative at Harwood, to being the liaison to the Smith history department, and then a department chair my first year of teaching. I appreciate time with my husband Gary, who teaches high school history and my daughter Caitlin, who is a tenth grader at our school. I am an avid reader and look forward to new learning. |
