The 200 American teachers were divided into groups of twenty.  Each group was then sent to a different prefecture in Japan.  There they would spend a week visiting the area schools and experiencing the local culture. 

One of the Japanese schools made the map pictured above. It depicts each member of our group, includes a short bio, and locates us in our region of the United States. Our group was quite diverse with members from all grade levels and disciplines as well as a variety of states.

My group was sent by bullet train to beautiful Uji prefecture.
