A number of the American teachers were able to set aside a Saturday to take a Taiko drum class at the American embassy school in Tokyo.The young students of the class and their parents spoke in a variety of languages from French, to Japanese, to English.  Not only did we watch the students and their parents perform, but we were taught more than one routine. Taiko drumming is very physical and includes both choreography and vocalization. It was a great experience--many thanks again to our teacher!
