Hello! Here’s all you ever wanted to know about Janet Lynch but were afraid to ask! Even though I always knew I wanted to be an educator, I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Accounting because my father thought I would earn more money. Well, he was right, but it wasn’t the career for me. So, after fifteen years as a bank accountant, I went back to school and received a B.A. from Trinity College in Elementary Education. I have happily been working as a first or second grade teacher here in Milton for 20 years! During that time I completed my Master’s degree in Education at St. Michael’s College. I currently teach a first/second grade looping classroom where the children and I stay together for two years. I’m a New Jersey girl who moved to Vermont in 1978. I live in Milton with my husband, Stephen, who teaches science at Milton High School. Our two children have flown the coop. Kyle is a fourth-grade teacher in Crofton, Maryland (teaching genes run in our family). Tara is a Children’s Activities Manager at a large Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. In my spare time I enjoy crafts, such as card-making, and I’m a Facebook fanatic. I also love to read, kayak, travel, and watch sporting events. My husband and I have a goal of watching the Red Sox play in every major league ballpark across the country! |
