Emily Steffans is the pseudonym for a famous rock and roll star. When she's not on tour, Emily teaches all subjects to fifth graders. Her students sit on the floor and are guaranteed to love reading by the end of the year. She has her Bachelor's Degree in history and her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. She is also a Nationally-Board certified teacher in the area of middle childhood (ages 9-13) generalist (all subjects).

When not on tour or teaching, Emily enjoys spending time at home. She likes to read mysteries A LOT, take walks outside, try out new recipes and spend time with her husband and three cats: Calpurnia, Stewart and Russell.
