My name is Abbey Kaknes and I teach the 17 smiling kindergarteners in room 435! This is my first year as a classroom teacher and I am delighted to be part of the Milton community. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont in 2006. During my four years at UVM, I played on the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. As a member of the 2005 Hockey East All-Star team, I played against the U.S. Olympic team before they headed to Torino for the 2006 Winter Olympics! After graduation, I continued my education pursing a Masters’ degree in Reading & Language Arts.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, playing soccer, yoga, and reading books.
