Avoid ‘The Last Word Syndrome’
It can be very irritating when a child has to have the last word in every argument, or mumbles negatively under his breath. In these situations, experts suggest that you ignore your child’s last words. Your child may be less likely to talk back if you’ve ended the conversation, stopped listening and begun to walk away. Wait to discuss provocative situations until a time when neither of you is angry or upset.
