Put a new spin on repetitive play
Many parents of special needs children have a common complaint: “My child is so repetitive!” Here’s how to introduce new elements into your child’s repetitive play: Change the story. For example, if your child always buys the same items when he plays store, be the storekeeper. Say, “Sorry, all out of cereal. How about bread for toast instead?” Help your child solve problems. If he needs help, give him two suggestions to choose from.
