Encourage outdoor time
Children need to play outdoors. Being out in nature boosts observation skills and builds creativity. To encourage your child to observe nature: Give him time to quietly watch the environment. Then ask some questions. “Can you feel where the wind is coming from?” “What’s the ant doing?” To stimulate creativity: Encourage your child’s natural inclination to build—forts, hideouts, bridges, roads, etc.
