Sew up some small motor skills
Kids’ clothes always seem to be missing a button. When boys and girls mend their clothes, it also helps them develop the small motor coordination that can make writing easier. Teach your child to thread a needle. Demonstrate how to sew on a button or a patch. Explain the process, step by step, and then let your child do the job alone. It’s good practice for using a pencil.
