From the kitchen table to the moon, patterns are everywhere
Pattern recognition is an important math skill. Try some of these activities to help your child practice: See how many patterns you and your child can create using only knives, forks and spoons. Find out the current phase of the moon, then help your child learn how long each phase lasts, and how long it is from full moon to full moon. Take a family nature walk and make patterns from leaves, rocks or other items from nature.
