The truth is that actions have consequences
It’s important for your child to understand that actions have consequences. Whenever possible, establish consequences that logically flow from your child’s actions. For example: If she won’t get up in the morning, bedtime will have to be earlier, since she obviously needs more sleep. Reinforce that all choices have consequences by having family members talk at dinner about the results of their choices that day.
