Dewey the Hamster and guppies

Thank you to all the wonderful PTA volunteers that made another bookfair a rousing success!!!
The Library Media Center is open until 4:00 PM each day. Students should bring a note from home giving them permission to stay to work on school assignments or read. Transportation is not provided.
Pre-K through 4 students have finished the Red Clover Program. The favorite book from our school was, Born Yesterday, by James Solheim. This month, third graders will be learning about the Dewey Decimal System and how to use our online catalog. Fifth graders will soon be starting a reseach project about diseases and the influence of the white blood cells. Grade 6 has varied projects going on during their LMC times.
The Dorothy Canfield Fisher Program is also in full swing. If students in grades 4-6 read at least 5 of the books on the list, they will have a pizza voting party in April. The Milton Public Library also has these books.
Did You Know?:
Students may sign out library books every day if they come to the LMC with a pass.
Students may keep books for up to two weeks.
K students get one book.
1-3 students get two books.
4-6 students get 3 books.
All students may have books over their limit for special projects.
Please help your children get their books back on time. If you pay for a book we will refund your money if you find the book. Students can also pay for their books a little at a time. We keep envelopes for payers.
Alerts:
We have been losing lots of books this year for various reasons, but these are the biggies:
Dogs are eating them! (seriously!)
They are getting wet! (from water and other savory things)
Students are moving and not returning books!
