Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) |
We are currently identified through the No Child Left Behind Act as not meeting adequate yearly progress (AYP) goals in reading and math for two student subgroups: Students with Disabilities and Economically Disadvantaged Students. This designation is based on our annual results on the New England Common Assessment Program test that is administered to students in grades 3-6 at MES. We will be in our 4th year of Corrective Action Status in the 2009-2010 school year. We have submitted a required, comprehensive School Improvement Plan to the Department of Education which is pending approval. |
