I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Tammy Boone and I am the Data and Assessment Coordinator for the Milton Town School District.  I joined the Milton Town School District in 1993 working in various positions.  In 2004-2005 I took my current position as the Data and Assessment Coordinator. In this role, I oversee the local, state and national assessments administered throughout the district.

I find the job to be very challenging and rewarding at the same time. As the world around us is changing, so is public education.  Under the federal law “No Child Left Behind”, schools are expected to show proficiency for all students by 2013-2014.  This is a challenge as not all students have the same life experiences.  I work closely with teachers and administrators to define the assessments that will be used to inform classroom instruction and look at the larger picture on how are students are performing.  This work is very rewarding when you see progress and our students being successful academically and socially.

I am married and live with my husband and 2 children in Milton.  I am very proud of my school community.  I find it an honor to work with the staff at the Milton Town School District.  We are lucky to have an unbelievable group of caring individuals.

I am always available for questions regarding our assessment program. Please feel free to contact me at 802-893-3210 x1135.
