              I am a member of the third and fourth grade looping Time Travelers team.  Students stay with me for two years, for both third and fourth grade. Homework Policy

        Spelling, cursive, and math homework goes home on Monday.  It is due on Friday each week.  Every night the children are assigned 20 minutes of reading.

 

Behavior Policy

        Students lose recess or choice time as a consequence of not following the classroom guidelines.

 

Spelling

        Spelling homework is due by Friday.  The students take a pretest on Monday and their word list is sent home. The final spelling test is given every Friday.

 

Literacy

        In March students selected their own books.  In April and May we will be reading Green Mountain Hero as a whole class.

Science and Social Studies Units

    Over the year in science we cover units on weather and climate, magnetism and electricity, the human body and nutrition, and oceanography.

    In social studies we study Vermont history, Vermont geography and mapping, Vermont economics, and the Underground Railroad.
