Milton Elementary implements the Houghton Mifflin reading program as part of their literacy curriculum. All children on Team Pride participate in the many components of this program. We use the story selections in the anthology to reinforce important reading strategies.

All children are also part of mixed grade level reading groups. Small groups meet 2 times a week for half an hour. We use this time to read and apply our reading strategies through a variety of literature.
