Lexia Quick Reading Test
Grades 1-6

The Lexia Quick Reading Test is a computerized reading assessment tool. The program quickly evaluates students’ decoding skills with real and non-words, and their ability to name letters and sight words automatically. A teacher or other adult administers the 5 to 7 minute test to a student one-on-one.

The program generates reports that indicate a student’s strengths and weaknesses in specific skill areas. The reports allows the teacher to easily recognize the specific areas where practice or instruction is needed for an individual or groups of students. The Lexia Quick Reading Test also provides prescriptive information and places students into Lexia reading programs automatically.

Students can than use the reading programs to practice work independently and the software automatically detects when additional practice is needed. It provides a variety of targeted activities and feedback that helps each student build confidence and proficiency.
