You might have heard that 3rd and 4th Grade Students have been busy in the Art Room working with clay creating bowls. These bowls are going to become part of our “Milton Community Empty Bowl Project.” February 19th. This event is part of a grass-root program which began in 1990, by a group of Art Teachers out West to bring awareness to children who either go to bed hungry or head to school without breakfast. We will be supporting the MFCC with donations of can/box goods for their food shelf.
With the help and support of Steve Marinelli (Food Service), we will have three types of soups (Bisque, Chicken, Vegetable), artisan breads, and students helping to server water.
Empty Bowl Night will take place in our middle school dinning room, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
The bowls the children made will be given away at the M.C.E.B.P. As of today, 301 Bowls have been created. These bowls will be placed on tables for community members to take with them.
Any questions, please stop by or call me.
Looking forward to sharing a wonderful Event for Our Milton Community!
