Stop and jot the way to better book reports
By the time your child has finished the last chapter of a book, has she forgotten the details of the beginning? Your child will have an easier time writing book reports if she stops and jots down a short summary (one or two paragraphs) every time she reads a chapter or two. When she finishes the book she can review her notes and edit them into a final report.
