Starting at 6pm tonight, Friday 1/15/16, through the end of the day Sunday, PowerSchool is continuing their work on moving all of their clients from one hosting facility to their new facility. This weekend’s batch includes our server.
We will have 1-3 hours of downtime at some point during this weekend, but unfortunately they are unable to provide us with a more specific window. During this downtime, they will upgrade us to the latest version, then back-up our data and set it up at the new facility. There should be no changes required on our part as a result.
The old facility has not shown the security and redundancy that they need, and they hope that the new facility will be more immune to the outages that have caused disruptions this fall.
