You are competing in a Vermont Poster Competition that depicts for others the character traits that make up the ideal friend.
Your task is to create a poster for use for the Vermont Friendship day. This poster needs to include a picture of friends doing something together either form the Internet or you can draw it. It also needs to include characteristics of what makes a good friend and some type of friendship slogan/message. Some questions you might want to think of are :
What are important characteristics to look for in a friend?
What kinds of things can hurt a friendship?
What do you look for in a friend?
What kind of friend are you?

You will begin in your group of three by brainstorming and discussing the following questions with your group:
What do you already know about being a good friend?
What do you already know that helps you to keep a friend?
What gets in your way of being a good friend?
Next you will need to pick jobs from the following list:

Designs image for the poster using everybody's ideas

Friends are really important to each and everyone of us. To make friends and keep friends requires work. Friendship is a relationship. Through this project you have now learned what is important to remember to make friends and also to be a good friend. Please find a place in the school to hang your poster.
