Choose one of the fifty states to research and collect data for your state booklet. Be certain you have included a picture of the state bird, flower, tree and flag before moving on. |

2. Design Your State |

Brainstorming Session
Read the following questions and discuss them with your group. Have someone take notes to record your final decisions. A. What is the shape of your state? B. Where are the mountains, lakes, river, deserts, etc.? C. What is the average temperature? D. What recreational activities are available?
