Welcome to the American Revolution Web Quest III. This has been considerably changed and altered to make it more meaningful to you and clearer in its purpose and expectations. Good luck, and remember that a good grade on this task requires :
cooperation with
your classmates
the careful
following of directions from your teacher and this web quest
a desire to do
your best, and to do a quality job
There should always be a purpose in sitting on a computer doing research. Here is your purpose. You are a young assistant, who is helping a local college professor to carefully choose the subjects for a very expensive Revolutionary War memorial that will be built on the green in the center of the college campus.
The financial sponsors of this expensive memorial want the most for their money. They would like to have the memorial commemorate a particular person, on a particular side, in a particular battle in the war. That battle should have been at least somewhat decisive in the outcome of the war. The special directions the sponsors have given are to pick subjects that not only match the criteria, but also subjects who are not particularly prominent in most accounts of the war.
The only way for you or your team of young researchers to accomplish this is to look up a fairly good -sized amount of information, choose the subjects, and then defend your choices so that the sponsors will agree and continue on with the project. This task will be done in steps. Below, are the links for those steps.
Follow the instructions in each link and come up with a good presentation. Good luck, because you will be competing with other research teams, and only one team's presentation will be chose.
