OCEAN Mural PROJECT

Coral Reef

This project will be a mixture of pictures drawn, colored or painted on a large piece of white paper. Each of the pictures should clearly show several of the important ideas you wish to share about your ocean topic. The pictures do not have to connect to each other but they should have a common theme.

When creating your mural keep in mind the following images:

Plan each picture out carefully so that it shows the ideas that you researched.

You must draw a rough sketch of your scene on scrap paper first. The sketch should be approved by an adult in the room.

You must sketch out in pencil your pictures first. Be sure to remember that small pictures are difficult to paint/color and also hard to see. MAKE ALL YOUR PICTURES LARGE ENOUGH TO SEE FROM 10 FEET AWAY!!

Plan the placement of each picture on the large white paper. If you do not do this you may end up trying to squeeze some necessary pictures in a corner or between other pictures.

Remember, this is a MURAL. NO WORDS ALLOWED.

Please be certain to clean up after yourself each day and put materials back where they belong. You will have to find a safe area to keep your mural each day when you are not working on it.
