Your team will create a big book that will be used to teach the class about your ocean topic. The main focus of your project will be a decorative and colorful big book that has many pages of information you gathered for your ocean research. Throughout the big book you should be educating the reader about your ocean topic such as, How many species are there of your animal? What does your animal look like? Where does your animal live? What does your animal eat?

The big book should have ___ pages. Each page should have illustrations. I expect some of the pictures to be simple and others to be more complex.

Each page should contain one to three basic facts about your ocean topic (remember this is a big book - keep it simple). The text that you create will need an adult edit prior to the final copy. You may choose the genre of your big book. Will it be a factual book, or a fictional story with true information?

In the end your big book must include:

• A cover- This should be made of heavy material like cardboard.
• A title page- Complete with a title, copyright date and publishers.
• ___ Pages- Should be written in easy to read language. Remeber to check all spelling.

 Please be certain to clean up after yourself each day and put materials back where they belong. You will have to find a safe area to keep your big book each day when you are not working on them.
