We will be implementing the Houghton Mifflin Literacy Program again this year. Children are practicing these letters by telling a story about the letter. The story follows the same pattern for each letter. The story is: the name of the letter, followed by a key word, then the sound. For vowels, we are practicing the short vowel sound to begin with. An example of a story is: Bb, bear, /b/. Have fun practicing these stories and sounds with your child.
